Due to my proven leadership and technology skills, as well as my ability to quickly adapt to Queens College’s needs on-the-fly, I was promoted to become a full System Administrator and Architect. In addition to the full set of responsibilities as a SharePoint Administrator, I was also entrusted with the administration of several other key infrastructure services.

• I took on and excelled in the role of the college’s McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Administrator, where I manage malware protection for over 3,000 workstations and servers across the campus using McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator; create and maintain campus-wide set of customized threat prevention application policies and scheduled tasks, targeting specific servers/workstations using System Tree location and various automated tagging based on system properties; plan, test, and deploy the latest versions of the McAfee suite (McAfee Agent, Endpoint Security Threat Prevention, Web Control, Adaptive Threat Protection, Active Response, Threat Intelligence Exchange, and Data Exchange Layer); and contain and analyze threat from endpoint systems that suffer malware attacks.
• I took on and excelled in the role of a Microsoft SQL Server Administrator (SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, and 2014), where I install, configure, and maintain various MS SQL Server environments for all SharePoint farms, including direct database queries, including direct database queries; install, configure and maintain the MS SQL Database for McAfee ePO, including direct database queries; and plan and implement the migration and upgrade of SQL Server environments to new versions.
• I took on and excelled in the role of the college’s F5 BigIP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) Administrator, where I manage all HTTP/HTTPS traffic going in and out from the college network; create and monitor load-balanced and resilient network traffic to back-end servers; create and customize web applications using iApp templates, custom pools and HTTP / Streaming profiles, custom iRules to rewrite HTTP streams as needed, as well as redirect traffic to desired nodes and ports; and maintain college-wide wildcard SSL certificates and handle SSL-offloading or SSL-bridging to backend servers.
• I took on and excelled in the role of a Windows Server / Active Directory / DNS / DHCP Administrator, where I managed Active Directory membership of users and computers; forward and reverse DNS of college domain names; IIS setup and configuration of college web-based applications; DHCP of dynamic and static IP assignments across various subnets; as well as performing monthly server patches, updates, and general troubleshooting.
• I also took on and am still learning in the role of a WordPress Administrator, where I assist in the installation and maintenance of the college WordPress environment; manage the installation and updates for WordPress plugins and themes; and assist with light Linux administration on OpenSUSE.

SharePoint Administrator, Enterprise Applications (April 2012 – Present)

As Queens College’s SharePoint environment expanded, it required me to focus my expertise in SharePoint on a full-time bases, so I was moved into this new position where I continued to manage the SharePoint farms for Queens College, as well as providing advanced SharePoint developmental, technical, and design consultation and support for the entire campus. The SharePoint environments that I personally designed, implemented, and administer involve SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2019. With my extensive familiarity and knowledge of web development, I was also made Assistant Manager for the Enterprise Applications Systems team.

• I designed and implemented the full SharePoint infrastructure for Queens College to support the design and deployment of their public website and intranet portal site.
• I designed, implemented, and maintained an external production 2010 farm where we upgraded the original public website; a single-server failover 2010 farm for scheduled or emergency production farm downtime, which automatically synchronizes with the production farm via daily Content Deployment; a 3-server internal production 2013 farm, hosting internal SharePoint-based applications and workflows, as well as the future target for the QC intranet, which will be migrated over from the 2007 farm; and a single-server Project Server 2019 farm, hosting Project Server for the I.T. Project Management Office team.
• I utilized my extensive knowledge of SharePoint to design and manage the training curriculum for the college’s web Content Editors to make sure everyone understands the website’s technology. I also held monthly forums for the 250+ Content Editors to announce new features and functionalities, present demonstrations on how to use the technologies, and answer questions or provide support on-the-spot to resolve existing issues.
• I promoted and analyzed the feasibility of using SharePoint in providing paperless solution for day-to-day business needs amongst various departments and offices throughout the campus, including electronic forms, document routing and approval workflows, content and document management, and collaboration workspaces.
• I provided second- and third-level technical support on SharePoint issues, including troubleshooting errors, providing usage training and guidance on SharePoint best-practices, and helping the development team design efficient and reusable solutions.

Manager, Web Services Group (July 2009 – April 2012)

I was hired to manage a team of 11 full-time and part-time developers in the Web Services Group to provide web-based solutions to the college campus community, with a focus on SharePoint custom development, .NET web application development, and providing support to the legacy PHP sites and applications.

• I designed and deployed a 3-server internal production SharePoint 2007 farm, hosting the Queens College intranet, student/faculty/staff personal sites, as well as a 4-server external production SharePoint 2007 farm, hosting the Queens College public website.
• I designed and implemented the full Queens College public website on the SharePoint platform, by using SharePoint Designer to develop an 100% customized Master Page, as well as designing and building 12 SharePoint site templates, 8 SharePoint Page Layout templates, and countless Data View Web Parts to present data stored in SharePoint lists and libraries, as well as list metadata. I also worked very closely with the Office of Communications on this project to come up with a website branding and style guideline document for all Content Editors to reference when creating content for the web.
• I met with department heads throughout campus to gather business requirements for online system requests and translating those into technical designs for the team to implement. Through my interpersonal skills, I helped build a lot of connections and strengthen relationships between the IT department and the rest of the campus.
• I advocated the migration of business workflow from paper to paperless, and helped design and build numerous online electronic forms and workflows to meet technology and environmental initiatives of the college’s Strategic Plan.
• I worked closely with upper-management executives as well as the office of Marketing and Communications to offer recommendations on website feature / functionality for enhancing the experiences of website visitors.

Due to my proven quick-learning abilities and growing expertise in SharePoint, I was given the responsibility to develop SharePoint envisioning/planning workshops to engage potential customers to plan out their SharePoint environments. I also let a team of developers and acted as the architect to translate customer business needs into usable SharePoint solutions. In this position, I have excelled in developing custom workflow using SharePoint Designer, building custom SharePoint Master Pages, and developing many complex InfoPath forms which integrated with SharePoint using standard secondary data sources, connection to SharePoint Web Services, and custom code. I was hired to develop an Intranet portal site for internal use using Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and SharePoint Portal Server (SPS) running on Windows Server 2003. As my SharePoint skills quickly grew, I was given client-facing projects where I performed numerous infrastructure installation and configuration required for WSS/SPS environment, including Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000, SPS, and Office 2003.

• During a time of financial difficulties, the CEO of the company let everyone go except for me, and I worked as the sole employee to help turn the company around by developing a custom web-based timesheet application for the Plumber’s Union (Local 200) to keep track of hours and projects worked on for each of the local contractors and their union workers. 100% hand-coded ASP with SQL Server backend, with integrated SQL Reporting Services to provide on-the-fly reporting regarding hours and benefits. The solution I developed for Plumber’s Local 200, and then a few other locals afterwards, brought the company back from potential bankruptcy.

David Copperfield's Disappearing, Inc. (August 2000 – November 2012)

I worked as a part-time consultant for Illusionist David Copperfield as the liaison between his international fan base and his crew, answering questions pertaining to his world-wide touring shows and relaying messages for Mr. Copperfield and/or the crew members. I was also responsible for updating and maintaining two separate websites owned by DCDI, as well as being an official contributor to related articles pertaining to Mr. Copperfield on Wikipedia and IMDB, as well as administered approximately 15 different domain names owned by DCDI.
